Diego del Alcázar y Silvela, Marquis de la Romana, founded IE Business School in 1973. He currently serves as President of the institution ranked among the best worldwide. He has been Chairman of Vocento, the biggest media group in Spain, and serves on the board of Técnicas Reunidas and other companies in communication, consumer goods and other sectors.

A keen supporter of the arts, he is a member of the Amigos del Museo del Prado Foundation and Arco Foundation, among others. As founder and acting President of IE, he is committed to promoting change, innovation, entrepreneurship, and diversity in business.
