David Jenkins is the editor of Circa Press, a new printing press dedicated to architecture and design. He is the patron of the Norman Foster Foundation, and former Vice President and Honorable Treasurer of the London Architectural Association.
Jenkins was trained as an architect and practised for seven years in the 1980s before reaching the conclusion that architecture is ‘two percent creativity and 98 percent monotony.’ He then turned to writing and editing and has never looked back; first working on The Architects’ Journal in London and then joining Phaidon Press in 1991, after it was bought out by Richard Schlagman. While there, he worked on Norman Foster Works, an encyclopedic series spanning six volumes and five decades of the architect’s work. In 2014, Jenkins founded Circa Press.
