The NFF’s mission is to highlight the central role of architecture, infrastructure and urbanism in improving society, while encouraging new forms of thinking that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries. The NFF holds the Norman Foster Archive and Library, which provide a unique insight into the history and evolution of the built environment through the work of Norman Foster, complemented by holdings from other internationally renowned architects and creators. This heritage is reinforced by an active programme of educational and research initiatives structured around workshops, fellowships, forums and the Norman Foster Institute—an applied research centre for sustainable cities.
